Goodbye 2010: Happy New Year!

Wow, how crazy was 2010 for Phone Booth Gallery? Lets Revisit: London based Mr Frivolous rocked “Daydreamer” at The Library in Long Beach to start us off. A massive “Off the Hook III” Group Exhibition took Echo Park by storm at FIX. Our first ever co-curated exhibition of all female artists “Girls, Girls, Girls” saw tons of local talent and Jennie Cotterill’s curatorial skills. We opened a permanent space on Broadway in Long Beach for Australian artist Kareem Rizk’s retro collages to break in with “Collagephile.” Kevin Tong’s “Mechanical Dreams” saw some of the prolific artist’s strongest work to date in his first ever solo exhibition. Iain Macarthur’s second PBG solo brought “Wildlife” to Broadway all the way from Swindon, England. Amsterdam based artist Handiedan closed off the year with her third solo with us in “Habba Habba.” All this among a strong selection of new printed editions, apparel, live paint events, and many other collaborations. Extra special thanks to all the people that helped make 2010 so awesome. Heres to 2011.
