Rod Luff Opening Reception April 18th, 2011 Australian based artist Rod Luff started off his US solo exhibition debut with a bang last night. With a strong body of work and a great turnout, we couldn’t be more excited. Kevin Tong “Dune” Screen Print March 15th, 2011 Phone Booth Gallery is proud to present “Dune,” a four color 18×24 screen print in an edition of 100 by Kevin Tong. The print continues a series of 5 screen prints inspired by David Lynch movies, and is released in conjunction with our David Lynch inspired art exhibition “Oh, You Are Sick…” which opened March 12, now on view. Joe King’s “Eraserhead” Screen Print March 15th, 2011 Phone Booth Gallery is proud to present “Eraserhead,” a four color 18×24 screen print in an edition of 100 by Joe King. The print continues a series of 5 screen prints inspired by David Lynch movies, and is released in conjunction with our David Lynch inspired art exhibition “Oh, You Are Sick…” which opened March 12, now on view. The print was meticulously separated for print from Joe’s original graphite drawing, which due to a power outage, was drawn mostly by candlelight. Now thats Lynchian. Check out the print HERE. March 8th, 2011 Phone Booth Gallery is proud to present “Blue Velvet,” a five color 18×24 screen print in an edition of 100 by Ryan Milner. The print kicks off a series of 5 screen prints inspired by David Lynch movies, and is released in conjunction with our David Lynch inspired art exhibition “Oh, You Are Sick…” which opens March 12. Blue Velvet Screen Print March 3rd, 2011 First of a series of 5 David Lynch inspired screen prints, this “Blue Velvet” inspired poster goes on sale at the screening in person this Friday at midnight, at the Art Theatre in Long Beach. Buy tickets to come see the show of Friday and pick up a poster. Ticketts available HERE. Remaining copies will be available Saturday at a random time in our print shop HERE. Blind sets of all 5 prints will be available online as well starting this Saturday. Remaining prints will be released throughout the month. This is a beautiful (in a Blue Velvet sorta way) 5 color screenprint on Cougar 100 lb Cover, signed and numbered by the artist in an edition of 100. David Lynch Inspired Print Series March 1st, 2011 Phone Booth Gallery is proud to present a new series of screen prints inspired by David Lynch movies. During the Month of March, 5 screen prints will be released by some of the hottest poster artists in the industry. We will be announcing the artists with each release, but we can promise you that you wont be disappointed. The series features a few artists we have worked with before, and a few that haven’t. Movies covered are “Blue Velvet,” Eraserhead,” “Dune,” Lost Highway,” and “Wild at Heart.” All 5 screen prints are hand pulled, signed and numbered by the artists, 18 x 24, editions of 100. A limited number of sets will be available which will include matching numbers, and an additional unsigned test print that will feature layers from all 5 artist prints. Lora Zombie Install and Opening Video February 16th, 2011 With over 50 pieces in the exhibition, Lora Zombie’s “Broken Doll La La La” did not disappoint. A barrage of color and splats currently cover the walls of Phone Booth Gallery almost like wallpaper. Take a look at the salon-style hanging, and some video footage from opening night.
